The screen of the e-reader stays on during charging. Can I turn it off?

The Omnia can be charged in two ways:

 

1. Via the DC charging cable

  • If you charge using the DC cable, charging will go faster, so this is the preferred way of charging
  • When charging with the DC cable, the screen of the Omnia will go off while charging

 

2. Via the mini USB cable

  • When charging using this method the screen will stay on during charging
  • You can make the screen turn off after a certain amount of time, when you adjust screen time-out settings in the Settings menu. After the set period, the screen will turn off. This setting also applies to reading, so screen will also go to black while reading (after the same period).
