Line-out

Generally in the case of a line-out, there is a manufacturing defect, creating a few lines (normally 1 or 2) of dead pixels. These lines can be either vertical or horizontal. Line-outs are in warranty. Please register your appliance for a repair.

Broken display

A broken display is caused by intense pressure on one point of the glass. It causes one of the layers of the screen to break, resulting in irregular shapes and lines and a screen which cannot be used anymore. This is user generated damage, that can occur by dropping an appliance, transporting it in bags full with other items, pressing on a screen with sharp objects etcetera and as such is out of warranty. Your device can be repaired, but substantial costs will be incurred as the screen is the most expensive element of the device. You can request a repair here.
