What can I do if the screen of my Icarus Go is broken?

One can recognize a broken screen case of an ereader because it will display irregular shapes and lines or multiple vertical/horizontal lines as in the examples here Screen issues e-readers.

This case is typically taking place if we have an accident and it is therefore not covered by warranty.

It is possible to repair the ereader, but the costs of doing so could be higher than purchasing a new one due to transport and personnel costs in Europe, so Icarus is offering an exchange program so that customers with an ereader with a broken screen can have access to a new Icarus Go at a reduced price in exchange for the broken one.

It works in the following way:

  1. Make sure the broken screen problem is diagnosed correctly by reading this article: Screen issues e-readers. If you are not sure, you can always ask a question in our FAQ site.
  2. Report your details to us using our RMA site. If you have trouble with this site, you can download complete instructions here.
  3. We will review your request and after accepting it, you will be able to print a label so that you can ship the ereader to us.
  4. After shipping the reader to us, you may visit our online shop to purchase the service product: screen replacement for Icarus go.
  5. We will ship a new ereader to you after receiving your ereader and the payment for your order.
